TAIWAN- 臺灣 or 台灣 (aka the ROC) is an island nation in East Asia. It is the home of 23 million people. Taiwanese people at least one of the following languages: Mandarin 國語/ 中文 (the official language)、many speak Taiwanese 臺語、some converse in Hakka 客家語 and aboriginal languages– the Formosan languages 原住話. Taipei (City) serves as Taiwan's capital. The subtropical (hot, moist, sticky...) weather can be felt right when you alight from the plane to here. Personally, I LOVE this place (hence the blog's name Ai/Love Taiwan).
"Taipei" on the map is actually New Taipei
新北市、Taipei 臺北市 and Keelung 基隆市。
I don't know why Kinmen or Quemoy 金門 doesn't appear on the map. And Ilan can be Yilan.
This island nation is considerably English-friendly, with most signs in Mandarin and English. Everything turns out to be so convenient, especially transportation and eating.
